Final Application

At this time, we’ll be asking you to think seriously about some questions and provide answers to us as soon as possible. We’d appreciate honesty in your color preferences as well as in your ‘playing Weyrleader’ thoughts. Please complete this form no later than August 4th, 11:59PM ET. If it is not completed in time, we will assume you have decided to go Stand Only.

If you have any questions on this final questionnaire, refer them to ‘+mail hrwadmin’ on the game.

Final Questionnaire

  1. What is your email address?

  2. What is your character’s name?

  3. At High Reaches Weyr, we believe that if you Impress, you should Impress what you want. Due to this desire, we highly encourage people to only list the colors you are interested in Impressing as well as only provide a scale of 1-3 in ranking your color preferences. You may use numbers more than once. You must have at least one color ranked 3 to Impress. If you are Stand Only, please skip this question.

    The scale works as follows:

    3 – I’d love to Impress this!
2 – I’d like to Impress this only if any of my other choices aren’t available.
1 – I do not want to Impress this color at all.

    Gold:
How would Impressing gold affect your character?:

    Bronze:
How would Impressing bronze affect your character?:

    Brown:
How would Impressing brown affect your character?:

    Blue:
How would Impressing blue affect your character?:

    Green:
How would Impressing green affect your character?:

  4. It’s time to play being ‘Weyrleader’. The people who know candidates best are candidates themselves and we value your opinion. Please take a look at all the candidates (type ‘hrw .who/candidates‘) and choose from them, up to six (6) people you would like to Impress, to what color, and explain why. Please do not include yourself. We welcome all reasons, be they IC-related or OOC-based, why you think someone would be best suited to Impress to that specific color.

If you do Impress, you will be part of a very tight knit group (hopefully) for about twelve weeks. You’ll be seeing a lot of each other and this can amplify character personality conflicts. We’ve found that a close group is more likely to stay active long-term than one that has little or no association with each other. You’ll be a part of a small family within the general High Reaches family, and we care for one another and look out for each other.

  5. Please list the times you are available for a hatching in Eastern US on Friday, August 12; and Saturday, August 13th.

The following questions are to find out in more depth what you would like in a dragon. Please answer freely. If you are Stand Only, please skip to the last question.

  6. FOR MALES: Please tell us what you’d like to use for your honorific. Please give us at least one alternate as well, in case your first pick cannot be allowed for various reasons. FEMALES: If you would like to shorten your name on Impression, you may tell us that here, too.

  7. What would you like in a dragon name? (For example: list letters you like or don’t like, example names used in the past, specific names you’d like (which cannot always be accommodated), length, etc…)

  8. What would you like in a dragon description? (For example: pretty, ugly, dark, pale, what kind of physique, any particular features you like or don’t like, etc…)

  9. What would you like in a dragon personality?

  10. Is there anything else regarding candidacy, dragons, preferences, other candidates, or anything else you’d like to tell the administrative team and/or Search Committee at this time? If you are considering a concept with an involved character plotline during weyrlinghood, you can use this space to give us an idea of what you might like to do.
