It was the first clutch for the new young Senior Queen who had only recently been transferred from Ista Weyr. Melirth diligently tended to her eight eggs. (OOC: this was before the idea of combining PC and NPC eggs on the sands. It was later retconned to say this clutch had 28 eggs.)
